“Love is a Battle”

Love is a battle

of Lover with beloved

no one can resolve this

except they

friends can be friends,

enemies can be enemies,

but true lovers can never be parted – impossible!

In this holy warfare

of self-giving oblation,

everyone wins:

strongholds are conquered

(I mean parts of ourselves)

peoples are won

(friendships with others are born)

new kingdoms are created

(culminating in the Kingdom of Heaven)

Jesus is the Lover; each of us is His beloved

Let us let Him love us with all His Heart,

And love Him with all our heart, overflowing with His own Love

There is nothing to fear but not loving totally

right now.
