Dear friends of Fr. Benedict,
From Trinity Retreat
Saturday, May 29, 2004
Today is the vigil of Pentecost and it’s a time when each one
of us should ask of
the very special help of the Holy Spirit in dealing with the crisis and almost
impossible
tasks of life. I know that when I first began to have some consciousness and
aware of
myself, the first thing I did was to pray to the Holy Spirit. He’s always
there and there to
help us in the very worst of circumstances. This does not mean that Our Blessed
Savior
or Our Heavenly Father are not compassionate to us, but Christ sent the Holy
Spirit to us
to remind us of all that He had taught us and to bring everything to our minds
that is
necessary for salvation. Whatever is going on in your life right now, turn to
the Holy
Spirit and you will discover that there is a friend always waiting for you,
out of view, out
of sight, but right around the corner with His special gifts, which goes beyond
any
strength of our own.
Let us continue to pray for each other!

Dear Fr Benedict, It was so uplifting to hear your voice clearly and warmly delineating the faith in the excerpt about science and religion and the apologetic value this will have. I am so happy that the good Lord has allotted your deepening into His mysterious ways even amidst this terrible accident in January. In prayer and Holy Mass - Fr. Denis, OSA - Priests for LIfe, Philadelphia, Penn.
Another sunset...another sunrise...we take all that for granted, but
it IS the glorious revelation and presence of God Himself! We all agree here
at this blessed website, that we can talk to our beloved Father Ben, and share
all the good thoughts that we all have, with him, and with each other! Anice
person from Virginia spoke of the grannie that kissed all relatives pictures
goodnite.
That reminded me of my beloved Italian grandfather who made sure that all the
religious statues and pictures of the saints were kissed, in his nitely ritual!
I can remember thinking as a little girl...".oh my! How grandpa loves God!
"
'BECAUSE he did love God...he loved all of us..as Father Ben does! - Jackie,
New York

Dear Fr Ben, You did again, Just when I think you can't do more for the Lord you show me how wrong I am. This last Tape on the Holy Spirit Is so awe inspiriing and moving it touches the very soul So the Holy Spirit certainly is at work here at Grassroots . Tell David what a wonderful job the Lord has done thru Him as well. It amazes what everyone who doesn't watch your site misses each day, I've become the Evangelizer for the Franciscans even thou I'm homebound Igive away all of the tapes and paas them on to touch souls and what a grace it has been . Thank you all From on Celtic soul to another.- Cathy, Baldwinsville, New York
I found out about Fr. Groeschel from a book on Medjugorje written by a man from Rolling Stone magazine. I sent for two of Father's books (used) and loved them both. Father inspires trust in the Catholic priesthood and in the work of the Holy Spirit in the Church. Thank you, Father. - Barbara, Merritt Island, Florida
May your suffering bring about the end of the abortion laws here in "The Land of the Free" God bless you for being part of God's Plan. - Anna, New Kensington, Penn.
Hello again Fr. Ben..like countless other Icheck in every day to see how your doing..it's amazing the bond among believers..I was watching tonite and read your mesage about God having something more for one to do..and I hope that you are the consultant when Mel Gibson makes Man of the Passion because I believe that you can give the world the best and most accurate authentic movie on the Man of Assissi..there is so much about him we don't know..but I know that you and your brothers and the Franscican community do..Francis was alot more than a man who liked birds...that I do no...I am glad to see the wound in your forehead healing nicely..I love listening to your tapes on EWTN. I learn so much more about my God and my Catholic faith..Always in my prayers, always in my heart and countless others..and thank you for your prayers and your love for us...I'm so happy you are at at home too...God is so good...sincerely.. - Elizabeth, New Waterford, CAPE VERDE
Wonderful to hear "directly" news of Fr. B. We have long been "customers" of your website. We have been using many of Fr. Benedict's video series in our "post"- Alpha groups. These are Catholic versions/extensions to the Nickey Gumble (Anglican) original Alpha. If it be in "Our Father's Plan", we pray that Fr. Benedict will be given the strength to continue to make many more. We, through Our Lord Jesus owe much to Father Benedict, thank you Fr. B. We pray that you will return to Montreal again. Our Lord Jesus be with you always, - Norma and John,
Please tell Father Benedict that everyone at Ave Maria University in Naples Fl are keeping him in our prayers. I still thank God that I was able to say hello to him after many years watching and reading his books. Now that I am at the University, he is even closer. I pray our Holy Mother keeps her cape around his always. Yours in Christ, - Kathryn,
