Dear friends of Fr. Benedict,

From Trinity Retreat

Saturday, June 12, 2004

As I made my rounds through hospitals and talked to people, I became aware of two things: People are not hostile to religion; they don’t know very much about it. They would like to pray more and be more involved, but they do not feel called or even interested, because they find religion dull and distant. In order to counter this, we started the Oratory of Divine Love about two years ago. This was actually an organization that had been founded at the beginning of the sixteenth century by a laywoman, St. Catherine of Genoa. It involves a meeting for prayer, reading, and study.
I would strongly suggest that you visit the website of the Oratory of Divine Love at www.oratorydl.com, if you want to do something for the Church and for Our Lord Jesus Christ and live up to the Christian life. You will find there some very interesting things that might help you profoundly in your spiritual life. You’ll be invited to contact the Oratory through Jerry and Yolanda Cleffi, who have taken on the responsibility of running the Oratory for me.

Let us continue to pray for each other!
