Dear friends of Fr. Benedict,

You may have heard that the friars recently opened a hospital in Honduras.
The medical care in that area was notoriously bad; American doctors would go
down and try to take care of people on a volunteer basis, but the hospital situation
was very much against them.
The friars have just dedicated the new St. Benedict Joseph Labré Medical
Center in Comayagua, Honduras. This is a wonderful charity, by means of which
several doctors from the United States will plunge themselves into round-the-clock
operations while they are onsite on a rotating basis.
The day after the hospital opened, a hundred people showed up for operations.
We do mostly cleft palates, split lips, eye operations, orthopedic operations,
particularly clubfeet, and cancer operations. The hospital has a very nice recovery
area, where people can recuperate from surgery. If you want to do something
good for a sick person, this is a marvelous opportunity to do it, by contacting
us at this website.
Let us continue to pray for each other!
Father Benedict

Dear Father Benedict, For almost six months I have been looking in on your progress and praying with many of the thousands who love you and have been brought closer to Our Dear Lord Jesus through your great gift from the HOly Spirit. At 65 years and a devoted Roman Cathlic I have found in your suffering a message from the Lord: Do not be afraid! God love you for your tough spirit and trust in Jesus and please know that you have touched many thousands and brought them close to Jesus Christ. From an old Irish guy in upstate N.Y, please know that I have prayed for you every day during your recovery. You are what we call: a great old guy!. May Our Lord Jesus love you forever. - Daniel, Troy, New York
Hello Boys of St. Francis! We all owe our gratitude to your expertise and talents which have provided us with the communication links to Father Benedict. Your work is OUTSTANDING. I would love to view a biography, of sorts, of Father Ben, from childhood (with young actor) through his adult life. Hopefully, someday that WILL be available. - Jacqueline, Batavia, New York.
Thank you Father Groeschel for reaching out to us all on the internet. It is a blessing to hear from you and I too pray for your continued recovery and thank God for the gift of you. I am a permanent member of weight watchers and that means I have to weigh in each month and pay $10 if I go over the magic number of pounds. I almost did this week but I gave Our Lord a promise to send the 10 to one of your "loves" especially to keep people in need fed in each month I succeed in keeping my weight healthy. Please just send me one such mail address but do not print my name etc. It is my secret gift of thanks. - Sheila, Leeds, New York
Dear Fr Groeschel, its me again. I know they just printed one of my letters, but I hope they print this as an addition. I evangilize hoping to stop a young woman from an abortion, but as I read my letter, I also humbly say to the young women who read your messages, that if they did, God will forgive you if you go to confession. He's waiting with open arms. I didn't mean to sound judgemental, only Christ can do that. For I also know there has to be young woman in so much pain for having one and trying to reach out for forgiveness. My bumper stickers are in hope to stop one, just remember young ladies, God only hates our sins, not the sinner. He died loving us. God bless you all and I hope you find peace. Reading Fr.Groeschel, sure will help, no matter what heartache we all have. God bless you Fr. and all the Friars, and God bless all who read your messages. - Mary, Millwaukee, Wisconsin

Your Order has done such Great things in the City help it to expand on the crazy internet to us homebound Community that is in such need and thirsts for the touch of God in any Way it can Get it. Take Care from one Celtic soul to another. - Cathy, Baldwinsville, New York
Dear Father Groeschel--We are so grateful to God that we can again read and hear your messages. This site is my first visit each day. Your idea of having others participate in daily messages is wonderful, although I would hope that you can record one message each week for us. That would enable us to hear it at least seven times. Your words always bear repeating. Continue to grow strong. Look forward to seeing you on Sunday evenings. May God Bless you and your continued work. - Nadia, Hackettstown, New Jersey
