Dear friends of Fr. Benedict,
From
Trinity Retreat
Tuesday, June 29, 2004
I recently asked for some suggestions about what we might
be able to do with these little notices that appears every day on the friars’
website. One suggestion was to put a series on the website similar to those
I do for EWTN. Actually, I will be doing a series this summer for EWTN from
my office.
I have also done my first full-length television tape for EWTN, which will appear
in July. I wanted to let everybody know that I am really alive. I’d be
grateful for your prayers. I don’t have the energy I once had, when I
was able to tape several programs in a single day. Now, of course, my stamina
is limited, and it is a struggle to complete even one program.
Please keep up your prayers that I can make a full recovery. Although I’m
out of the hospital, I’m not fully recovered yet. Thank you for your prayers.
Let us continue to pray for each other!
Father Benedict

I watch you every Sun on EWTN. Last night my heart was filled with excitment & joy as well as my eyes filled with tears. God bless you always, our dear friend & mentor. I pray for you every day. When my days of suffering come, I pray that my mind & heart will allow me to remember your profound words of wisdom. We so blessed in our lifetime to have you with us. Fr. Benedict you are truly a SAINT, & you will be going to Heaven like a "SHOOTING STAR". - Carol, Lyndhurst, New Jersey
This evening I watched your new program. Although you have lost weight and I can tell you have had a heavy cross to carry, dearest Father Benedict, your spirituality is awesome. I cried because you have been given such a gift by God. Your love and faith touch a heart. What a witness you are dear Father. I, along with so very many love you and am so glad you are such an example to us. Pax et Bonum, - Christine, Denver, Colorodo
Dear Fr. Groeschel, My goodness your recovery is coming along nicely! So glad to see you looking so well. If further surgery is necessary please "push forward" with the plans for the "bionic elbow!" We want you to be all you can be for the Lord JESUS. Your ministry to all of us here has become so important to us. Hoping and praying here for you each day, love Rebecca, Littleton, CO
My wife and I strongly agree with you Father with your desire to continue these broadcasts, both with a written message and the videos...I think it would be great to hear from the other priests along with yourself as well...We are so pleased that you are doing so much better, and it's great to hear from you on a regular basis... P.S.. I must thank you for making your CD with you praying the Rosary...Each day while I'm at work in my cubicle..no matter how stressful the day gets, I hear you quietly praying the rosary in the backround, and it gets me through the tough situations...also, many times people come by my cubicle to tell me different stories of their anger....and I see a difference in their attitude as they hear you praying the Rosary!!!!! Did you ever think of making an addition with the Luminous Mysteries??? God Bless you Father, and Peace!! - Paul and Denise, Melville, New York
Dear Fr. Benedict, Greetings from your friends on a small farm in the middle of K's. We are thrilled to hear that you are doing better. You are remembered & prayed for every day in my morning offering every day. We hope you are improving every day, but know it is probably not as fast as you would like. Thank you for your good example in how to handle the curve balls that life throws at us all. I just keep offering all up for you & all who are hurting. God Bless You & all of your community. - Charlie & Bev, Bushton, Michigan
Dear Fr. Benendict Groeschel, I was delighted to see you this evening on your program Catastrophe and Faith. I am glad you are recovering so well. Thanks for all your work in spreading the Word of God. I'll continue to keep you in my prayers, please keep me in yours. God Bless you! - Maryanne, Lompoc, California
Praised be Jesus Christ, now and forever! He has so blessed us to leave you here longer with us, and restored your health as He has! You could have been so many things, had He chosen less recovery for you! I am so very grateful, especially at the outset of your terrible ordeal, to have been able to come to this website and see the grand and exquisite handling of the situation with incredible updates regarding your progress. I hope these messages become a permanent part of the website, even as they are, especially those first 2 months. I also believe, without any offense to anyone there, that for the purpose of updating us on your intense ordeal, that this site has served it's purpose, and served it exquisitely, I might ad! These were "priceless" and I thank you from the bottom of my heart! What this becomes is a creative decision between you and the Spirit Who so richly moves us in unforeseen ways! His blessings in whatever you do, and His healling grace to Father Groeschel, for as we know they don't come any better than he! God's joy to all of you! - Pat, Omaha, New England
