Hello Fr. Benedict, Saw you on television last night. You look so good. Very sorry to hear about two more surgeries. Of course, I will be thinking about you and praying for you. Your daily messages are a constant source of comfort and joy to me as I proceed through my third bout with cancer and am finishing up with the chemo treatments. Side effects of these treatments can sometimes be so uncomfortable. But I am so pleased to offer my suffering for the forgiveness of my sins and the sins of the whole world. Suffering is really a gift because through my sufferings the last nine years, God has drawn me closer to him. He is so good and kind to me by giving me the time and opportunity to repent, pray and suffer for HIM. I will always be thinking and praying for you !! Sincerely, - Justine, Tallahassee, Florida

Dear Father, My Mom and I watch you Sunday nights. We were waiting for you yesterday when the TV said that the regular programming was being pre-empted for a special program. We were just beginning to COMPLAIN, and then YOU came on to pre-empt yourself!!!!! We are delighted to see you for the first time since you were hurt. We prayed for you. And my Mom, who is in her 80's, had her weekly Rosary ladies pray for you also. If I don't bring your letters to her from work, she starts asking for them. She has a whole folder full of them. God Bless you and we will continue to pray for you and all of your intentions. - Rita and Agnes, Belmont, Michigan

Dear Web-Family and Father Groeschel, First Father, I saw you last night on EWTN, and my heart skipped a beat! It was wonderful seeing you back in action. But, take it slow. Don't try to do too much. I agree with everything you said about Mr. Gibson's "The Passon" Great works and art are attributed to Great Hearts. To the Web Family: I want to thank Jacqueline, Batavia, New York, and David, Lewes, Delaware for their imput. I really believe that if each of us function as family members, no matter what form our works take, we surely can make a difference. When one of the breadwinners is down and out, it puts a strain on the rest of the family. I guess it goes back to "Great Hearts" Father, I read your latest book, "There are no Accidents" A great read and a spiritual keeper. Thank you for all your good works. - Gloria, (transplanted Big Apple) Huntington Beach, California

Fr.Benedict, First off, I am delighted that you are well again, or at least to the point in your recovery where you have the strength to continue doing the wonderful things you do in allowing your faith to spead out to the rest of us. I accidently came across your website as a result of viewing Mel Gibson's, The Passion site which provided a link to you as you were in a hospital bed, and not in the best of health. Funny, how I said accident, but I believe there are no accidents, but clear paths with lead us in the desired directions we should and need to be on. I admire your faith, and your understanding and compassion. You must continue to preach the gospel, and must continue to allow us to hear your wonderful words. I don't know how much of a sports fan you are, if at all, but there is a great difference between how one announcer call a ballgame, and how another goes about the process. You come away with a different experience altogether. The score doesn't change, the facts remain the same, but one adds light and life to the broadcast while the other sometimes just reports what he sees. You are that dynamic broadcaster and your calling of the game is filled with the passion it deserves. We are all lucky to have you and look forward to having you amoung us for a long time to come. I admire your faith and how your allow others to experience it without filters. Things are so different today, then they were in the past, and many alter or change where ways, views, and messages to play to the crowd. You remain consistant, and I thank you for that. Someday, I would like to meet you, but if that day never happens, I feel we already have in fact met, and on some level touched each other. You by being yourself and me with this email. God bless you and good luck in everything you do. You have earned it. Sincerely, - Joe, Englewood, New Jersey

Dear Father Benedict I hope your arm gets better and I will pray for you every night. Love - Therese, age 9, Lakewood, California

Dear Father Groeschel, What great news that you will be getting an elbow replacement and other surgical repair to regain some function. I have been wondering what was being done for you, since I’m a nurse and care for orthopedic surgical patients from time to time. Every now and then I flex my right elbow and do internal and external rotation and say a short prayer to God to “remember Father Groeschel’s right arm problem” while doing so. It was also great to see you on EWTN last night. The half hour went so fast. You made some great points about getting through tough times by trusting in God. I have to confess once I checked on the Yankees and the Mets once to see how they were doing, but just quickly. (I’m a Red Sox fan living in Maine.) I hope eventually you get to meet my friend Sister Donna from New Jersey. Sincerely, - Mary Ellen, , Bangor, Maine

Dear Fr. Benedict: I was so glad, and thankful, to see you on EWTN Sunday. You are such a blessing to so many, that it's great news for us that you will be staying around in this world for awhile longer. Thank you for all the blessings you have brought to me and my family, through your love for Jesus. I pray that your recovery goes well, and that you are given the graces to endure. As far as the website, I think you should do as many as you feel up to doing, and then other friars could speak sometimes, so you don't tax yourself too much. In Christ's Love, - Deb, Wichita, Kansas

What a wonderful surprise to see you back on EWTN, Sun. June 25. I thought you looked just great. Prayers do so much good. Looking forward to your next program. God be with you always. Renie, The Sunshine State. - Irene, Wesley Chapel, Florida
