Dear friends of Fr. Benedict,

From Trinity Retreat

Tuesday July 6, 2004

I was not able to get today's message because of the of the fourth of July holiday. Fr.Benedict is doing well and he will post a new message tomorrow.

Let us continue to pray for his recovery.

Dear Father Groeschel, Your messages have become a good-sized part of my life. I am in formation to be a Third Order Secular Franciscan, and I hope many people that read this message - providing it appears - will take a look at this great opportunity to walk with St. Francis to Christ. Anyway, your messages certainly are "getting to me" and I am searching for ways to give Christ a cup of cold water by visiting the sick. As you always say, "Let's continue to pray for one another"
Thank the Good Lord that He spared you to us for another while. XOXO - Marsha, in Massachusetts

Dear Fr. Benedict, when I saw you on Catastrophe and Faith, tears of thanksgiving welled up in my eyes. I remember hearing of your accident back in January and immediately praying the intercessory prayer to Venerable Fr. Solanus Casey. Watching you on EWTN, I thought to myself, you can be considered one of Fr. Solanus's miracles! I called the friars at the Solanus Center when I knew of your accident and they began praying for you as well and have not stopped. You spoke volumes while on the air and I was thrilled to see how far you have come on the road to recovery. You have inspired people of all ages through your internet site and I thank God and the Blessed Mother that as our country celebrates its freedom--you are able to enjoy the restoration of your health. You remain in my prayers--as I know you still have two surgeries before you but I continue to marvel at how far you have come since that dark night. Keep up the amazing work you are doing for the people around the world, as you truly are a beacon of hope in a time so full of darkness. May Jesus, Mary and Joseph continue to watch over you, Grassroots, and all the Friars, - Lisa, Howell, Michigan

Dear Father Benedict.- Mexican children are in vacations, but they are so used to pray for you, that I am sure you will hear directly from them some day. The same as you,.. is difficult for us to catch you in EWTN because of the difference in
time, but we enjoy your daily messages. Let us continue to pray for each other - Yoya, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

Hi Father Groeschel, God does work in strange ways. I think your accident put the Master's Message on the internet just as Mel Gibson got His message into the theaters across the world -- with much personal suffering for both of you! You and the friars have done so much for His Church. You are bringing so many of us together through this web site. Our prayers continue for your recovery and for all the members of your order. - Pat, Avon, Ohio

Send your greetings to Fr. Benedict
