Dear friends of Fr. Benedict,
From
Trinity Retreat
Tuesday July 20, 2004
If you’re looking for a good guide to what is anti-Catholic
and anti-religious in the media, one of the best things you can do is join the
Catholic League. This is an excellent organization that keeps an eye on all
the media and will bring out for protest the most blatant attacks in the media
on the Catholic Church.
It’s amazing that there could be enough to keep a monthly newsletter going
with this kind of information in it, but once you begin to look at it you will
realize how much students and people in the professional world have to put up
with in terms of defending the religious faith. The web site address is –
www.catholicleague.org and the mailing address is – Catholic League, 450

Let us continue to pray for each other!

Dear Fr. Benedict.- Do not worry about internet if you follow some of the wonderful ideas from people who love and admire your mission, suggests to you and your "people". Devil's own tools are everywhere and we must teach our children. We have in Guadalajara for a little payment extra a service that keeps out pornography, because we receive Internet by telephone. Let us continue to pray for each other. - Yoya, Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico
Dear Father Groeschel, You are so right, and I thank God you are speaking out about these things that need to be addressed for the good of God's people, and the world. We Catholics would do well to take a page from the book of the Quakers (Friends) and the Amish, and stay with the things that are not of this world, and refuse to budge from the standpoint of peace at all costs. There's alot of St. Francis in both those religions too!! Love Marsha, Framingham, Mass.
Dear Fr. Groeschel, how ironic that on they day you warned of the dangers of the devil's influence on the internet (I agree), this same medium provides me with one of the most touching letters I have ever read by "Dino from Mexico" and his powerful testimony about How Love Hurts. As you always, let us continue to pray for each other; however, our human nature sometimes needs a look into the life of those we pray for. Dino has my prayers that he discern how to channel that fire of love in his heart to God's plan for him. I remain inspired by this forum, and pray for your continued improvement. God bless, - Maureen, Penn.
Dear Father Benedict: Just contacting your web site has a healing effect. Reading the messages you write is food for my soul. I pray very much for you, every day. May God and His Holy Mother continue to take care of you! Love from - Adrienne, Thorn hill, Ontario, Canada
LOVE from the bottom of my heart to Fr. Groeschel and to all of you. Your every word is worth a million. FIAT - Magdalena, Fairfax, Virginia
Dearest Fr. Benedict, Continued Glory to God for your continued recovery. You are so loved for bringing the Good News to us all, and we are ever grateful to our God Almighty for not wanting you back with Him just yet! Reading your daily messages is a part of my day; a question you put to us in your last message was interesting. Why does the media (film industry in this case) continue to force on the public films that are anti-religious and contrary to good morality? Because we continue to go see them, earning those making them a nice profit. I believe all of life boils down to choices in good or evil. It is a daily, difficult and demanding job to continually see that and make consistent "good" choices. Sometimes the evil is so well hidden, but if we look a little below the surface of any issue, we can find it, and thereby avoid it. Continue to pray for us all to want to find and follow the Good that is found in the teachings of our dear Lord Jesus Christ. You and your intentions are ever in my prayers. God bless, with love and admiration, - Joanne, Farmingdale, New York
Dear Fr. Benedict, I am encouraged by your continuing recovery. I would like to be put on the mailing list for the regular publication "Gray friar News"--the one being distributed at the St. Stanislaus Parish "Day of Recollection" last August. Thank you so much. Sincerely, and with continuing prayers, - Karin, Sacramento, California
