Dear friends of the friars,
One in awhile I like to take a “break in the action” to offer thanks to the many who have been visiting our CFR website; especially those who visit the “From the Friars” every day.
As a way of a reminder, the “From the Friars” page is especially designed to be printed and posted. This is a simple and, at times, surreptitious way of sharing your faith. We have heard from a few of you that the friar's daily messages have been push-pinned on office cork boards and slipped under magnetic fruit on kithen refrigerators. No doubt there are many places one can “plant a tiny seed” - school, factory, and church. Let us know how you are sharing the message with others!
Also, please forgive us if at times a new message is not posted every day. We are slowly trying to get our calender covered; this “electronic apostolate” is one of many works the friars are engaged in - thank you for your patience!
Finally, please do get the word out that Father Benedict is now on EWTN live - every Sunday evening at 7 pm EST. Since it is a “call-in” show, we hope you participate from afar. Do tell your family members and friends, especially those hanging on the edges of the Church. Tell those who are overboard to tune in also!
Please keep the friars and the sisters in your prayers. Our three-week mission to Ireland went very well - packed churches “like Easter Sunday”. Two of our friars from France (French friars!) spent a week at the Evangelization Congress in Paris. Meanwhile, almost every weekend somewhere in the US there is a Youth 2000 retreat where young people are gathered around the Blessed Sacrament. Most of all, pray for the poor and the homeless with whom we live and have the privilege to serve.

Community Servant (superior), residing at St. Felix Friary in Yonkers
