Dear Friends of the Friars,

The Community of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal

invites you to praise God and rejoice as we proudly announce the ordination of three of our friars to the holy priesthood:

Fr. John Anthony Boughton, CFR (Dallas, Texas)

Fr. Anthony Marie Baetzold, CFR (Rochester, New York)

Fr. Leo Joseph Fisher, CFR (Fort Worth, Texas)

These fine young men represent the “silent springtime” of which our beloved Pope John Paul II often spoke. Together with the entire community, they will give their lives to the Church through service to the poor and evangelization.

Please pray for us and for our sisters so that the evident benediction of God upon us will be for His greater glory. As the Lord has deemed to send us many young and fervent vocations, we are well aware of our weaknesses. Pray we keep our eyes on Christ!

Look how the Holy Spirit is working! Do not get discouraged! Remember the words of Pope John Paul II, a prophet sent by God: "Do not be afraid!" As Saint Paul once said, "Where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more!" Christ is risen, indeed! The Holy Spirit has been poured out! Let us break open our hard hearts to receive even more than we can ever ask or imagine.

Pray for your priests. Pray for these three newly ordained brothers of ours. Yes, praise God and rejoice with us!
