Dear friends of Fr. Benedict,
Today is Friday, February 27. Fr. Glenn will return on Monday with the latest update on Fr. Benedict. Tonight were posting some emails.
This website with prayers, offerings, and petitions is so powerful! It lets
me
realize the GIFT of the Catholic faith and everyone trully being The Body of
Christ. A tradegy in Father Benedict's life has shown so many of us to be meekand
humble. As Mother Teresa says "when suffering comes to us, we should accept
it with a smile, because it is the greatest gift that God gives us. It is a
gift to have the courage to accept everything that He sends us". God's ]peace
be with Father Benedict and everyone! - Andree', Jackson, Massachusetts
father benedict, i found myself complaining this morning...taking my health for granted...accepting my crosses and then, i went your website and felt so ashamed of myself...you are struggling to breathe on your own, but you breathe with the Holy Spirit...pray that i may be more like you, like Jesus...thank you for your example, your love, your life....we love you, Fr. Ben! - teri & bill, bradenton, Florida
Dear Fr. Benedict, On Valentine's Day, the angels came and carried my sweet husband home to the Lord. As he lay dying, I prayed that He would take my Jim's breath and give it to you. Perhaps that prayer is being answered. My Jim lay suffering terribly for four days, but I knew it was a blessing, that he could share in the Lord's passion. Thank you for all your wise words on EWTN, in your books and through the ODL. You are such an inspiration to so many, and we here in Upper Michigan love you very much. May God bless you and Mary keep you. - Bonnie, Arnold, Michigan
Dearest Fr. Groeschel, You have made a difference in three generations of our family. Sending you our most ardent wishes for a complete recovery. Love and Prayers from transplanted New Yorkers - Caroline, State College, PA
Dearest Father, I have recently been diagnosed with cancer. I unite my suffering with yours for the children and families of the world. Dear Lord, please let this wonderful man heal to continue his truly blessed ministry. - Rosemary, Waterford, NY
Dear Fr. Benedict, I am writing from St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Voorhees, New Jersey. Everyday I check on your progress. I can't tell you how many times I have cried listening to your messages. My heart climbs out of my chest when it hears you speak. "Come, follow me." When you are fully recovered I will come hear you speak in person. I am one of eleven children. I left the church twenty-five years ago and was led back to it six years ago. Listening to EWTN has been a powerful conversion experience for me. I cannot thank you and your fellow priests enough for the gift of fire of the Holy Spirit you have poured out on me. I hope someday to meet you. Until then know that you are in my prayers everyday. All things will be well in love! - Phoebe, Voorhees, New Jersey
Fr. Benedict, I am a Capuchin Franciscan Postulant and wish you to get well soon. I know that you are carrying a very tough cross but offer it all to God for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life. I have admired always your t.v. series on EWTN, Masses, etc. You can be sure that I will keep on praying for your recovery. PEACE AND ALL GOOD! - José, Puerto Rico
Dear Father Benedict, I am a newly converted Catholic, entering the Church in 2000 after going through the RCIA, you have been such a wonderful guide in my conversion process, My prayers are with you for your recovery. We need you so much. The Lord be with you always. -Jean Adams, Canton, Ohio
Dear Father Benedict, Lord, have mercy. I am continuing my prayers for your recovery. I am awestruck by your bravery and it gives me the courage to go on each day. I listen to your words. Father the short videos are a wonderful morning or evening prayer. In the morning , I listen and I want to go out and follow Jesus, and at night , I pray the rosary, not only for your recovery, but for the recovery of the whole world. Who would have ever thought? Who, but our dear, precious Lord, could have found the perfect leader to speak to us without words. And that's what I beleive you have been doing. So many times I have heard you say that we have to listen. It's harder to listen to you when you can't speak but I think we are all hearing clearer than ever. Who are we? We are your brothers and sisters in Christ. Lord, have mercy on you and grant a speedy recovery, I pray with all my heart. May God bless and keep you always. With Immaculate Mary. - Charlotte,Chariton, Iowa
