Dear friends of Fr. Benedict,

Today is Monday, March 8. Fr. Glenn will return on Wednesday with the latest update on Fr. Benedict. Tonight were posting some emails.

Dear Father Benedect, You don't know us but you are a part of our family. I'ts very funny the way we talk about you around the dinner table. Especially if a point has to be made. There's never any arguments if the discussion begins or end with Fr. Benedict said or Fr. Benedict wrote. So I guess what I want you to know is that you're always in are thoughts or at least never too far for too long. We pray for your continued recovery, because like a beloved family member we can't immagine this world without you. May the Scred Blood of Our Lord Jesus heal you. All our love and God bles you. - Alba, Caldwell, New Jersey

Hi Fr Ben ; Glad to see your coming along just fine. I check the site everyday. You must be proud of your friars, they really love you like all of us. Just come from Mass and at Consecretion I always say My Lord and My God (3 times) and tonight it dawned on me I got that from you a long time ago while watching you on EWTN. Thank you !!! Have a peaceful day . - Simonne, Canada

Dear Father, You have been, and are still a gift to us.My husband lives in a wheelchair, and we have received a grace to hang in there from your ewtn talks. We continue to hold you up at daily Mass. Our Blessed Lord knows you well, and with all of us holds you in the palm of his hand. Our rosary and chaplet will be sent to you via our spirit.Take courage we all walk with you still. - Elaine, Prescott, Arizona

I was blessed to have attended a retreat you gave in Pennsylvania during my preperation to be received into the Church. That was 5 years ago and I am so happy I made that decision. Please be assured of my prayers as you gloriously suffer during this lenten season. May God continue to send his love and grace to you. - Bill, Media, Pennsylvania

EWTN has a gaping hole in it. May all our love and prayers fill it up so that your presence may once again come to us. Mercy Dear Lord. Please send Fr Benedict back to minister to his flock. - Viola, Kissimmee, Florida

Dear Father Benedict Groeschel, The Second Oratory of Omaha, Nebraska is praying for you every day. You are such an inspiration. We are grateful for the Oratory. It is very helpful in our prayer lives and encourages us to continue working with and for the poor. The poor will always be with us; therefore, there is much work to do. God bless you always and especially during your recovery. Roger, Judy, Jo, Bonnie, Jackie, & Mark. P.S. Father, I remember when you asked me at a conference to lift you out of a chair because you were so very tired. I did and you were so grateful. I wish that I could lift you out of your bed right now. May all the prayers allow that to happen for you soon. - Roger, Omaha, Nebraska

Dear father may I send you my love and prayers and may Almighty God grant you a speedy recovery and may our Holy Mother keep you safe in her arms. God bless you - Ann, United Kingdom

Perhaps this email will get through! Joe and I only want to send you greetings, Father, and to tell you that we pray for you every day. You have and continue to mean so much to us. We "visit" with you so very often in the books, tapes and videos we are so fortunate to have in our home! May God return you to our sad world, to continue your spreading the Good News as only you do in your way. Jean, Henderson, Nevada

Father Groeschel - You're in my prayers everyday, and I wish you a speedy recovery! Your unfortunate accident helped bring me to this website (which is now the best part of my day!), increased my faith and even drove me to some evangelizing! Be well, I'll continue to pray for you! - Liz, Somerville, Massachusettes

Hello Fr. Benedict: I am praying for you everyday! Thanks for praying for us! I met Br. Shardel here in Orlando when he came to the hospital, my mother had had a heart attack a few days before. We talked and then he prayed over her with the authentic Mother Teresa hair relic that he had placed on you also. The next day my mom was sitting up and walking and she always tells me to ask Mother Teresa's intercession in times of troubles. Please pray for her and also for my husband and I! I will definetely endorse and sign for Mel Gibson to make a movie of St. Francis of Assisi, I have his stone statute out in my garden!!! We will keep on praying for you.....always! - Sofia, Orlando, Florida

Thank you for the thought of a movie of St. Francis. What a wonderful subject for a movie. One thought that came to mind; Mel Gibson took 13 years to put the "PASSION" together, it took 13 years to make Fatima offical. I jsut pray that it won't take Mel Gibson that long to bring St. Francis to the silver screen. Of course with prayers from Father B. and all of the other Friars I am sure it will be tomorrow!!!! My prayers are with Fther B. and all of the other Friars & team. God bless all of you, In Christ's service - Don, Grass Valley, California

Dear Fr. Benedict, The Blum Family continues to pray for your recovery according to God's Almight Plan. We as Our Lady and Padre Pio to intercede for you. We also would like Fr. Glen to know how much we appreciate the dailynupdatew. They are not only helpful, but also very inspiring. We certainly support the idea of Mel Gibson doing a movie on St. FRancis. Our family has already expressed the hope that he would do movies on the lives of saints. What an inexhaustable source of evangilization! Also, our love and prayers to Br. Joachim Joseph. - The Blum Family
