Ready for some Good News? Do you remember the stirring scene at the end of the second Lord of the Rings movie, “The Two Towers”? Exhausted by their struggle against the minions of the Dark Lord, Sam encourages Frodo to hang on. Frodo, overwhelmed by the evil that is all around responds, “What are we hanging on to Sam?” With deep conviction and tears in his eyes, Sam says, “That there is still good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And that it is worth fighting for!”
I know of a distraught pregnant teenage girl who decided to keep the baby in her womb when she watched that scene. She never went to her appointment at the abortion mill the next day. Thank you Jesus. Never, never, never give up.
