No matter where you are, now matter what you are doing, you can stop for an instant and mentally come before His holy presence in the tabernacle at the church. “Lord, thank you, I love you, come into my heart.”
Many saints including Saint John Vianney and Saint Teresa of Avila wrote about the power of making a spiritual communion. I know one person who took a small circle of white paper from a hole-punch. She stuck it on her computer monitor. This little piece of confetti reminds her of the holy host. Every time her eye catches its site, she makes an act of adoration and spiritual communion, thus filling her day with small moments of lifting her heart and mind to God, small moments of prayer.
God bless you,
Fr. Luke Mary Fletcher, CFR
