Dear friends of Fr. Benedict,
This
is Fr. Glenn.
Remember some weeks ago when I told you that father would be doing the "old two step" which means two steps forward, one step back? Well guess who's back in the hospital? Thank God it's not an emergency but with Fathers delicate condition we can't be too careful. Evidently his blood count dropped dramatically. We knew he was suffering from anemia, but the latest blood count took the doctors by surprise. So, Father is in the best place he could be right now- in the hospital. For this reason he will not be posting a message tonight. If father is feeling better tomorrow, perhaps he will be able to resume his daily message. If not, maybe I'll be back in the saddle. In the mean time let's plead the Precious Blood upon Fr. Benedict so he will be well fortified in the Lord!
Until next time if God Wills. God Bless you.
Fr. Glenn

Fr. Ben. The boys at Children's Village still are asking about you. We have our new Preisdent/CEO at the Village and he seems to be fine. I thank you for the reminder that "nothing is worse than wasted suffering" Seems to me that is what separates believers from people who are left with only questions and difficult conclusions. Delighted to hear from your writing the message!!!Rev. Holby Dobbs Ferry, New York
Dear Fr. Benedict, I am a member of the Oratory of Divine Love in Fredericksburg, Va. My fellow members and I want you to know that you have been such an inspiration to all of us through the prayerful meditations and your steadfast love of our Lord, Jesus Christ. It's wonderful to know you are speaking again and have the best of care. God always provides! May he continue to bless you and heal you through your courage and the many prayers offered up for you.- Christine, potsylvania, Virginia
Dear Father Benedict; I hope your PT (physical torture) is not that bad any more and that the food is at least edible. Now that you are talking we can breathe a sigh of relief and hope you get little consolations throughout the day, like pain medication before PT and at least a little ice cream each day.-Juanita, montgomery, Alabama
Dear Fr. Groeschel, When I learned about your accident, I was so afraid that you might leave us. I kept praying that God would spare you because we need you. You have taught me a lot of things about suffering--from your talks at EWTN and also your from your books, which I try to share with my brother, who is terminally ill. I will keep praying for your continued recovery. Thank you and God be with you.-Amelita, Washington, DC
Fr. Benedict....My children and I pray for you. We have added St. Benedict to our Litany of the Saints prayer. When I see the number of people who read this page daily, I am amazed. One person has affected so many people....Then I think of Our Lord. One Life, One Suffering, everyone affected. You will continue to be in our prayers. Thank you for being an example to all of us of suffering in union with Christ. I know that so often I whine instead of offering my suffering up to the Lord. I will use you as my example. God Bless you and all of the Brothers.-Donna, Oviedo, Florida
I'm so delighted you are getting stronger and recovering. I have missed seeing you on EWTN and look forward to seeing you again soon. My husband and I are not Catholic, but have been learning more about the faith through EWTN, and frequently find the teachings so very rich; we don't know what our path will be, but we love the Lord Jesus, and we love you. Get well; we need you. Love in Christ, -Judy, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Fr: My husband and I have been praying for you since learning of your accident (and will continue to pray for you). God Bless You and Keep You in His Care! -Arlene, Saginaw, Michigan
Father Benedict, May God for his blessings out upon you in this time of need. As someone who is shared in suffering with our Blessed Savior, although totally unworthy, as a quadriplegic for over 20 years, I can assure you that you are in my prayers and I wanted you to know how much the advice you and the others at E. W. T. N. have had on my faith journey over the years.-Wm.,Kalispell, Montana
Greetings! The Lord Be Praised, that you've recovered your speech. Alleluia!! Please note that my 96 1/2 yr old mother and I have been including you in our evening rosary (with EWTN) ever since your accident. Continued blessings, -Andree, Watertown, New York
