Dear Fr. Benedict, For many years I have been at least emotionally holding on to your coat tail. Now, I am praying with all of my heart to share in your suffering and to help bear your burden. May God grant that I may be among the Simons who help to carry your severe cross. You are a lifeline for me and a living saint. Thank you for all that you have done for me and my family in your ministry. I pray that we will never let you down. Love in Our Lady,-Joanie H., Roanoke Rapids, North carolinia

Dearest Fr. Benedict! I hope that you are having a fabulous day on your speedy way to recovery. So this afternoon I was doing outlines for my AP US History class. I took a break from it to read your daily letter! At that moment my mom comes into my room to see how I was doing. She had heard about your accident a few months ago, but this was the first time that I had ever let her see a picture of you. I showed her the video on carrying your cross. As I was watching it for the thousanth time (in never gets boring!) I see my mom behind me about ready to cry. She was so moved and so touched by you! So know that you're continuing to touch people everyday! Much love from a 17 year old California surfer girl who doesn't mind listening to Bach or reading the works of Cardinal Newman!-Jessica, San Diego , California

Fr., Thanks for your latest note on perserverence and faith, even in the midst of dissappointments. I really needed to hear that today! -Amy, Washington D.C.

May God continue to be with you. You have honored Him in your faithfulness and service. Now He has cared for you and held you in His gentle arms in your hours of need. Even as you have taught others to serve and trust in Him, he has fulfilled His promises and sustained your life. Your accident, tragic and painful as it has been, is one more way you have led your flock to Him. We are blessed by your words of Praise. MAY PEACE BE WITH YOU.-CJ, Mansfield, Ohio
