Advent (Love’s recovery)
season of light
fallen from heaven,
grace poured out
upon a rugged earth.
hope is born.
joy overflows.
removing all darkness,
expelling all fear.
angels singing,
Wiseman adoring;
a woman says yes
to love’s humble plea.
season of birth
crying out salvation,
history is unveiled
with eyes wide open
Love’s recovery
desire fulfilled,
heaven rests itself
upon earth's broken wings.
blinded by light
and covered in tears,
we kneel at Your crib
with hearts unfolded.
