The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal are happy to introduce our new novitiate class of 2007. Yesterday, in a private ceremony in the Bronx, 12 of our postulants were invested in the habit of Saint Francis.

Please pray for them!

Jason Grandell, of St. Paul, Minnesota, is invested in the habit by Fr. Richard Roemer, novice master, and Fr. Leo Fisher, postulant director.

Fr. Bernard Murphy, Community Servant, congratulates Massimo Aiello, who came from Sicily to join the Friars.
No, you're not seeing double! This photo shows the Gavazzi twins from Sydney, Australia. Br. Felice has just finished his one year novitiate, and his twin brother, now called Br. Francesco, was just invested in the habit and is beginning his one year novitiate. Can you guess who is who? Br. Francesco is shown on the left, and Br. Felice on the right. At least we think so!
The investiture ceremony takes place just prior to the friars' daily holy hour. This photo shows Br. Lawrence Schroedel and Br. Francis Mary Roaldi.
