A Prayer for the Easter Season
Risen Lord Jesus, I place all of my hope in You. You are my light and my salvation. You have saved me from my sins by dying on the cross, and You have given me new life through Your rising from the dead.
How great, Lord, is this mystery, which I cannot claim to understand fully. Yet, I believe it, Lord, in the deepest recesses of my heart, despite the doubts and confusion that may appear on the surface and despite the feeling that I am walking around lost and alone in this world. I believe, Lord, that You have died and that You have risen from the dead, that You are alive in glory, and that You are calling me with open hands to come toward You.
Jesus, I beg You to never stop calling me, and to drag me if necessary when I appear stubborn and afraid and think that You have abandoned me. Jesus, increase my faith, increase my hope, increase my love, but most of all increase Yourself in me that Your glory may radiate through me.
