Dear Fr. Glenn - Praise God for the ordination of three of your friars to the priesthood. We hear so much negative news these days that to hear that young men are answering God's call to the priesthood is awesome. It is so encouraging to see so many young people returning to a true and deep belief in Christ and His Church, thanks in a very large part to Pope John Paul II. Thanks be to God for Pope Benedict XVI, for we know that he will continue the wonderful work of his predecessor. Let us all live our lives in complete trust and believe Our Lord's words "Be not Afraid". I'm more and more convinced that in the end we, by God's grace, who remain true to all the teachings of the Church, will be but a small remnant. Let us all continue to pray for each other for it very hard in the face of all of the temptations we are bombarded with these days to continue to "swim against the current". Take a deep breath, put on our water wings(the Holy Spirit) and lets go for it! Be assured, Fr. Glenn, that I continue to pray for your priests, friars and sisters. I pray also that this wonderful website will continue, for you all give us so much "food for the journey". Thank you and may God continue to pour His richest blessings on all of the Fransciscan Friars of the Renewal!
Dear Br. Agostino, your message is quite timely. I was listening to EWTN Live show this week. They announced a new series that will explain the history of the Church. It is a time for the Catholic media, organizations, and parishes to pick up the baton and move our cause forward. We are blessed, very much so, with our new Pope. But, we can not sit back and not participate to make things happen. The Vatican has its work cut out for itself, considering the worldwide situation. Getting the information out to the public is real power. Many untruths can be buried with truthful information. Bringing back Catholics that have left the Church is the first step, in my opinion. If you want to look at it from a "secular" point of view, it is time to "Market" our product. EWTN is a start and a blessing. But there must be other Catholic organizations who can get the ball rolling. I truly believe this is a springtime for our beautiful Church. It will take time, but the door has been opened to us. We have a good opportunity to take advantage of all the good things that are happening. I'm out in the desert, and I sometimes feel we are a small group out here in California. But, the glory of victory over secularism in other parts of our beautiful country is very important to all who live in our country. I would love to see a "Bumper" crop somewhere, and hopefully it will head west. Always in my prayers.
Thank you for your news of the ordination of three new priests. Today I will be spending my hour before Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament at Perpetual Adoration and I will surely pray for them there. Also asking God to send you more vocations. Your words are so filled with hope. We must constantly tell ourselves, "Be Not Afraid". I believe Pope Benedict will continue to lead our church in the way it should be done following in the footsteps of Pope John Paul. The Holy Spirit continues to speak. God Bless You all
Dear Br. Agostino, Lord, have mercy. Forgive my antiquated response, but, Right On! Also, I was thinking that maybe the teacher could have asked you to field that one as an "expert" at the scene. After all, there is nothing in your "contract" that prevents you from speaking the Truth. I wonder what the children think when someone says, " I'm going to let the question sit there." Are they allowed to say that in school when they are asked a question by the teacher? You know the more one thinks about it, the clearer it is that we, as an American society, are in a very sad place. But, as believers, we have the Good News, and Jesus is the light of the world. Thank you for all that you do. May God bless and keep you.
Dear Father Glen, What Joy must be in your hearts as you welcome the newborn of this new Springtime. As we wake up in His Love each Day, may He continue to hold us all in Him as we drink in His Dew. God bless you as your embrace continues to embrace all. Thank you.
Congratulations and God Bless, Fr. John Anthony Boughton, CFR Fr. Anthony Marie Baetzold, CFR Fr. Leo Joseph Fisher, CFR. May God Look over you as you begin your new ministry!
