Dear Fr. Benedict and all the Priests, Brothers, Friars, and those who help communicate to us: FROM THE FRIARS is a daily "must read" for me. Thank you all for answering God's call to evangelize through the web. I write a monthly column for a Catholic School Newspaper. It's not easy to set the time and put the thoughts down, so I appreciate all you do. But we both know that it's not us doing the writing, it's the Holy Spirit. And when we ask, boy does he come through with just what the readers need to know. Pax et bonum! - Donna, , SFO

Hi Father Benedict, This current video of you is absolutely wonderful and so very touching. The background music combined with your words about how to become open to the Holy Spirit moved me deeply with their rich beauty!! How inspiring to consider that the Holy Spirit is right beside us always, just as He was with you in the hospital when you regained consciousness!!! And even though you knew to call on him during your trial, you still had to go through the suffering and all the human emotions that you talked about that surfaced as a result of your life having suddenly been changed and disrupted. Just thank God that you had the "Comforter and the Consoler" right by your side to help you through it all. It makes me so aware of how many people there are that are not close to God and the Holy Spirit and thus don't know to call on them when they undergo trials and sufferings; I just don't know how they get through them. I have written to you several other times, but once again I have to thank you for your inspiring words and your rich faith that you share with us all. You have no idea what a difference you and your teachings have made in my life. You are still in my prayers for a full recovery, and I look forward to some update letters from you here on the website. God bless you always, - Nancy, Lewisville, North Carolina

Dear Father Benedict, thank you for this most beautiful video. During my two years of disability and being homebound I have become a new person. I prayed daily for courage. I came across a reading that changed my life. "The experience of pain always leaves one a different person than before. Pain can purify and elevate the soul. It can move us to intensify our union with the divine Will. It can inspire us to become detached from wordily goods and excessive concerns. Pain can make us co-Redeemers with Christ. Pain can do all this.....or it can lead us away from the Lord, leaving the soul alienated from the supernatural life." Thank you for your example and your deep faith. Always in my prayers, - Gloria Huntington Beach, California

Dear Fr. Groeschel, Hello.Your Sunday Meditations & the Daily Letter by the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal are a precious blessing...thank you for your website, may The Lord repay all of you. My husband and I are asking The Lord through the intercession of His Holy Mother that your right arm and elbow recuperate its strength and function and the suffering you've heroically coped with since last January be alleviated by His boundless Goodness & Mercies, especially to you, Fr. Benedict, His faithful son & servant, & our treasured Spiritual Leader & teacher. We're prayerfully awaiting your new EWTN series airing Sunday Oct. 24th... we've had recent serious setbacks in our ailments & spiritual & fiscal stability, and as you've taught us, we keep the Holy Cross and The Tabernacle with His real presence & we try to work our way to HOPE and FAITH through prayer, Daily Mass via EWTN as we're homebound, & the sacraments of penance and the Holy Eucharist when our Church Priest can bring it. Your tapes, books, and now this Act of Providence, seeing you in "Sunday Live with Fr. Benedict Groeschel" & the daily messages in your website are a font of Spiritual Healing to us elderly "shut-ins"! We salute your Guardian Angel, today, Feast of the Guardian Angels, & trust the "Little Flower", St. Therese of Liseux, Doctor of the Church, my new patron saint, it used to be my own Guardian Angel when I was christened in the Baptismal Font back in '49, shower you with abundant blessings, we pray. Humbly, - Angela,

Thank you for today's message on using Stress to save souls. I have a stressful situation that I must deal with on a daily basis and I will take your suggestion. Yesterday, one of my sons and I were able to go to Sacramento, California to see the movie, Therese. It is absolutely beautiful, precious. Leonardo DeFillippis is outstanding in his role as the father. We pray this movie will reach many all over the country. It is so tender. My eyes filled with tears many times. Thank you for your daily messages. I look forward to reading them every day and give thanks to God for Father Benedict's recovery. Also pray for all of you. - Judy,
