Love to Father Ben! I just seen the preview for the new October 24th Live Program on EWTN ...Awesome! That the Good Lord had, indeed, brought you this far in one year is totally incredible! I am going to get my VCR tapes ready to catch some of the program on Hope, which airs tonight. I "hope" to win the lottery to be able to buy every tape and book that you have ever brought forth..(I know ....can't hope for those thing s....:) I can only "hope" that I might just get a chance to say Hello to you, on the Live program....that is better than the lottery! Many prayers, much love, - Jacqueline, in N. Y.
Dear Father Benedict, Your words are so inspiring. I love listening to your rosary cd with Simonetta. Your shows on EWTN were instrumental in my conversion to Catholicism. There must be so many people like me in the world that you have touched. People grateful and close to you that you will never know personally. People that prayed desperately when you were so seriously injured. I can't imagine all the many people yet to hear your message and be stunned into realizing the immense truth to the Catholic faith. You have a beautiful gift of communication and that's probably why you are still here. God Bless you, - Karen,
Dear Fr. Benedict: You certainly have the gift of courage. You have many other gifts that you may not be fully aware of. You have the gift of being able to reach hardened and wounded hearts and souls and aid them in their transformation and growth in faith and hope. You are truly blessed. Sincerely, - Connie,
Dear Fr. Benedict, Fr. Glenn, Fr. Luke, Fr. Richard and all you wonderful friars and sisters of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal "HAPPY FEAST DAY". Fr. Benedict, your meditation of Oct. 3 was, once again, great! If only we all could have this view on this passing physical life and be able to concentrate more on the awesome eternal life that awaits us, what a different world this would be. As scripture says 'No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor has it so much as entered into the mind of man what God has prepared for those who love Him'. If we only truly believed this, we would be so anxious to join Him. I pray that all believers be given the grace to meditate on these wonderful words and fix our eyes not on what this passing world can offer but on what Our Lord offers to all of us who love Him and spend our lives striving to follow His commands and precepts. Your sister in Christ, - Michelle, SFO, Windsor, Ontario, Canada
Dear Father Benedict, Happy feast in this great day of October 4. Incapacities, it is hard to admit and it takes times to accept. At least, it took me a long time to accept it: 5 years, after a car accident in 1998! But today, I am really deeply Praising the Lord for my incapacities. For instance a brain that became slow, with very large loss of memory, few capacities to read to summarize anymore etc.. The Lord knew what was going to happen therefore for what was needed for me: no more xillion of great books to read about Him, but time to find Him in the silence of prayers; no more clients, VIP's, public relations etc but time to let Him approach me; no more success in defending "brilliantly" multinationals with sharp and succinct reports but the happiness of discovering Abba, dear lovely Daddy; I am praising the Lord! Dear Abba, Daddy, my memory became so bad that I even twice last week did not remember two "glamorous" events I was supposed to attend. I trust You, Dear Abba, there was surely a very good reason for it. I am praising You dearly! don't know, Dear Father Benedict, what is the plan of the Lord for you, and it must be very hard to go through incapacities, but yet I am praising the Lord for you. For all the great gifts that Our Dear Abba, Daddy, wants to give you. God bless you and gives you all His joy in this great day. - Anne, from Belgium
Dear Father Benedict, thank you for your inspiring words from
October 3rd. I remember hearing Father Corapi say that bad things happen "for
the greater good". Your suffering and pain have brought many people to
prayer and thus, closer to God. We are so thankful you have retained your clever
mind and sharp wit. We pray that your pain and the injury to your arm will heal.
Most of all we are grateful to God for still having you with us! - Tiffany,
Michigan
Dear Father Benedict, I really appreciated your comments today about some folks acting like they're going to live forever. I often wonder about all the albums, DVD's and video tapes which are produced and sold daily around the world. When are people ever going to have time to watch and listen to all of these? They can't find time to do all that and lead a Christian life at the same time, can they? - Gene, Vandergrift, PA
