Dear Father Groeschel, My husband & I just heard your message on Hope & Courage. We both know you from our retreats at St. Clare's in Santa Cruz, Ca. We thank God for your beautiful example, courage & trust in the Holy Spirit and that you have survived to carry on God's work. God willing we will see you at St. Clare's again someday. We love you and pray for you. - Louise & Bruns, Ca

Dear Father Benedict, Thank you for your October 10th column on "forgetting".A good friend of mine once said, "Your brain can only hold just so much and then the rest falls out". Not very scientific but it seems to be true. Perhaps one of the younger friars could help you by leaving a note when it's time to do something important. I do that constantly with a parent I care for. I hope someday my children will help me in such a way, when (not if) I need it! Our love and prayers to you. - Tiffany, Monroe Michigan

Dear Father Roemer, I loved your message about signs and especially your joke at the end. I read it aloud to my husband and we both laughed. My brother works just down the street from Times Square so I knew what you were talking about. It amazes me how the people of Jesus' time ignored His signs and went on their way. Of course, had I lived then I don't know for sure what I would have done but I definitely would have looked and listened a little more closely. I am trying to do that now. And messages like yours help remind meto do it. Thank you. Sincerely in Christ, - Mary, Tonawanda, NY

Dear Father Groeschel, I really love your messages about not fearing death and looking at life as a journey to a better world. In retrospect, I have faced many life threatening heath issues during my journey, but for some reason God must want me to stay here for a little while longer. Anyway, you have made this journey less fearful of death by the messages you write. Thank you for that. I look forward to going to heaven and hopefully God will see it that way too. But at the same time, I don't want to spend my life on earth fearing death. Those of us who suffer from anxiety often can fall into this trap. When this happens I recall your messages of hope from your program. And I too, as many others, am so grateful to God for leaving you here for a while longer to help us who have challenges to overcome. Thank you from my whole heart not just the bottom. Sincerely in Christ, - Mary, Tonawanda, NY
