I've been away for several days (from the computer too) and have had to catch up with the newsletters. Fr Glenn, your column of Aug 31 regarding reactions to unexpected death and natural disasters was insightful, as always. Of course, it was timely because of Hurricane Katrina. As you suggest, we need to remind ourselves of the validity of our very human reactions and how they relate to the spiritual ones, especially in disasters that are beyond our control.
