Dear Fr. Roemer:

The man you wrote about that has lost his faith in God, in some ways could be my husband. He believes in God, but has fallen away from the church and sacraments. He has not been to confession since the eve of our wedding... The recent scandals with priests has just severed his relationship even more. Please pray for him to open his heart to God and for his return to our beautiful Catholic faith. Thank you very much and may God continue to bless you and all the Friars. Thanks again...

 

 

Thank you for reminding us in your column of Sep 5, Fr Roemer, in always trying to do the right thing no matter the consequences or results. That will be up to God. The more I read about St Teresa of Calcutta, the more I come to realize how profound she really was (is). We Catholics as Christians really struggle at times to put into practice our faith. The friars' daily reminders are a good "tap on the shoulder" to keep moving in the right direction. ...Nancy in Michigan
