God speed to Father Benedict! I became an immediate admirer of Father's spirituality almost 10 years ago when a very dear friend gave me a copy of "Arise from Darkness" after my husband and I suffered a miscarriage. Father Benedict's insights, wisdom and faith helped me get through this difficult time, and I eventually converted to the Catholic faith as a result. My husband has had the absolute joy of being on retreat with Father, but alas, the last several retreats given by him in our area were for men. I threatened my husband that I might come dressed incognito with a fake beard just so I could meet Father in person! Instead, my husband promised to bring me some new Father B. tapes home for me if I didn't carry out my threat! Hang in there, Father Benedict, we love you!!! - Anne, Covina, CA

Dear Father Groeschel, I met you with my parents a couple of years ago when you gave a talk in "Nawlins," LA, which is about 50 miles from our home. I was 10 then, and you showed me a trick just before you went to dinner where you pretended to pull off your thumb. My mom and dad asked you to pray for me because I think I want to be a priest, and then after a special blessing, we left. I told my parents, "Gee, I didn't know Father had a broken thumb!" They laughed a lot and assured me it was just an old trick, and I've been trying to get it down like you ever since! You've been in our prayers since your accident. Please get well soon. Love and thumbs up! - Caleb, Thibodaux, LA
