Hi Father, welcome back. I love you and am so glad you'll be on EWTN. Everyone
misses Mother, and I just have to believe God wouldn't have allowed 2 voices
to be silenced, especially now during such difficult times and especially now
with the election coming up. But I know Mother is still coming through to me
loud and clear as a suffering soul. Welcome back and thanks again to Fr. Glenn
and all the friars for the messages and for the wonderful love and care you
have been given. See you on the 24th.
Dear Farther Benedict, May the peace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you!! Once again I find myself leaning on you shoulder and learning from you teaching. My father who has several medical problems suffered a fall last month and Fractured his hip. Here lies the problem he is an amputee on that side and has been unable to use his artificial leg since. He is in a rehabilitations hospital on Long Island he has become bitter and has had mood swings. I'm so very concerned about his depression and have brought some of you letters to read to him. In hope of brightening up his day and letting him know thought times don't last and tough people do. But this tuff Guy from the west side of New York thinks he's soo tuff and just want to be left alone and will do things at his own pace. When I filled him in on the who wrote these messages he could not believe that you were so close to Dead and now has taken a brighter look at his Life. Thank you again - Frank, Bethpage NY
Hello Fr. Benedict, I have been following along since your ordeal began and
am so pleased to see of your progress. Every January my husband and I look forward
to seeing you at the Day Away retreat at St. Clare's here in California. This
past year we were disheartened to know that we would not meet at St. Clare's
but would instead be part of a huge prayer network praying in your behalf. How
dismal it first seemed and how rewarding to see the wonderful result of prayer.
I was for many years an ICU nurse and followed closely your progress reports
on the Net. I could see you on the ventilator and prayed for you to eventually
get off and stay off. What a force is prayer! I am now a Hospice Nurse in a
new VA facility here in Palo Alto. I especially love this work. Above our Nurses'
Station is a picture of Mother Teresa. We have 3 wonderful chaplains and a Mass
every day in the Chapel(except Saturday). Not bad for a Government facility.
You are in my daily prayers. I have said a perpetual Novena to St. Joseph sine
I first heard of your accident. I think he has looked over you very well. I
wish you continued recovery.- Peggy ,
