Dear Fr. Benedict: Pat and I were delighted to hear of your progress back to good health and continue our prayers to Our Lord and Our Lady for you. I'm sure you are in a lot of discomfort right now, so I thought it would cheer you to know that your tapes are being re-run constantly on the Prayer Channel and EWTN. In fact you made me laugh out loud on Saturday while watching one of your recent broadcasts. Remember your comment that God didn't ask for a show of hands on Mount Sinai, and didn't ask for a vote on the 7th Commandment ? You were talking about people who claim to know what God wants without reading scriptures or the writings of Church fathers. I was still laughing a few hours later, so I'm sure your audience got the point. Please hurry and get well; we need you back at the old stand and we all miss you at the Cardinal Cooke Guild. Thank you for the wonderful videos. I am home recovering from complications from an operation and waiting for a pathology report. I have found so much strength and help in your page. Father Benedict's ministry continues in my life. I need to tell you a little story. Our oldest daughter, who is now in religious life, struggled with her decision for years. One day when she was at college she was in the church she heard a voice preaching. She told me " I didn't have to look to see who it was. I just burst into tears." It was Father Benedict.
