Dear Fr. Sylvester Mary Mann, C.F.R.
Thank you so much for this beautiful letter. Many times I am in the company
of family and friends who make the "so long as your a good person and don't
hurt or kill anyone, you'll get to heaven" I would wonder to myself what
will happen to someone with that point of view. It sounds logical. Maybe they
were right. They were certainly more educated than myself. They had more Theology
courses than I had in my life. What kept me believing in the rules of the Church
was the interior feeling I would get from going to mass and confession and prayer.
Now, of course, I have your letter! - Thank you
Susan ,
Good Morning, Father! I am a Pentacostal/Charismatic Christian residing in Clarence, NY, outside of Buffalo. A coworker of my husband's shared this beautiful prayer. So many of us have been praying like this, and claiming our nation's political process for the Kingdom of God, even before the election began. We see what has become of the concept of morality in this country. We are horror-stricken at the wanton slaughter of the innocents. We see the purveyor of sin that is the entertainment industry. We see politicians of all stripes compromised for the sake of the vote. We sorrow over the cheap grace sought by fellow Christians. As your sister in the Body of Christ, I am thanking you for this effort you are making with the beautiful prayer and graphic you posted online. Thanks be to God that, in these the last days before the Day of Our Lord, we can be linked in this way. Let us pray that such humble and heartfelt imploring can stay His Hand until more souls can be harvested for His Kingdom. Again, thank you. Your sister in Christ Jesus, - Bernadette
Dearest Fr. Benedict, I do not presume that with your very busy schedule that
you will ever see this brief note, but if you do:
I am an Anglican in the Mid-West of the USA. I am blessed with being able to
learn from you on EWTN & I appreciate you very much! Durring your recent
trials, I have spent time in prayer to our Lord for you. Please know that GOD
is touching so many through you & your message of His love & hope (including
this one insignificant Anglican brother in Illinois)! May you (& the Franciscan
Friars) be blessed with the Lord's peace & joy today! Thank you for giving
your all to GOD.
In His love! - Dan
