Fr.Sudano Thank you so much for letting us know about Marion Hite. I sent this out to my email friends and family. I hope they vote for Life. Pray for all who are not listening to the message of life. Thank you Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. God Bless you all. - Joan,
Good morning Fr. Glenn. . .Here is my take on things. When a woman is poor and desperate, and there is no one to help her, she is more likely to "kill" her unborn child. In the last four years, more programs that support "desperate" women, mentally ill, homeless brothers has been cut by the rich current administration. They keep yelling "protect the unborn", but they do nothing to do so. They keep us focused on "right to life", and deliver death. They keep you on your "soapboxes", but the words of Jesus, why do you see the speck in your brothers eye, and not the log in you own. . . .keeps coming back to me. Abortion is a serious issue, but not the only one. Supporting the poor is the first step in curbing abortion. Preaching love, support and acceptance is also a good path. Reelecting an evil leader is the wrong road. Take the log out of your eye! - Marie,
Dear Fr. Glenn, Saint Therese of Jesus Child and the Holy Face, has always been a dear friend (way of saying) to me since 7 years. And I have always noticed during all those years, when something very disturbing is happening to me and only when something very special bad happens to me, I am opening her “Complete book in French Oeuvres completes de Thérèse de Lisieux” to see how she can help me. And out of 1.600 pages, she had always given me the right answer . So, many weeks ago, I had asked her what “she” thinks of me giving a direct hand in the “baby life process”? Her answer was LT 135 it is Saint Therese speaking to her little sister Celine: “The truth is that the crops are big but that the number of working people is small; ask therefore to the Master of the crops to send workers.” What a mystery!…Is n’t Jesus All powerful? And don’t the creatures that He creates, belong to the One who created them? Why does Jesus say therefore: “Ask to the Master of the crops for Him to send workers.” Why?…Ah It is because Jesus loves us so much in such an unbelievable love that He wants us to take part in the salvation of the souls. He does not want to do anything without us. The creator of the universe is waiting for the prayer of a poor little soul to save other souls redeemed by the price of all His blood. Our vocation of us (Saint Therese speaking to Celine), is not to go harvest the wheat in the mature fields. Jesus is not telling us : Lower your glance, look at the fields and go harvest”. Our mission is even more exalted. Here is what Our Jesus says: “ Rise up your eyes and look”. See how many empty places are in my Heaven, it is up to you to fill them, you are my Moses praying on the mountain, ask Me workers and I will sent them, I am only waiting for a prayer, for a heaving of a sigh of your hart! LT135 of her book. In other words, Saint Therese had confirmed what the Lord was telling me: “Stay home and pray at home, in your secluded and quiet place.” So I am praying. - Anne,
Thank you, Father Glenn, for that most touching story today about the man who sits in the folding chair holding the sign against abortion. What a Saint he is. If I were in Portland, I would run right over to see him. Unfortunately, I am not that close but will offer some prayers for him and for all of you. God Bless You, - Judy,
Dear Fr. Glenn: Thank you for the beautiful story about Mr. Marion Hite, who sits quietly praying in Portland for babies and their mothers, hoping that a culture of life will prevail. God bless him! I can only wonder if such a person were not praying near an abortion clinic in San Francisco. You see, my parents took me there to be aborted. By the grace of God and the intercession of His saints and our Blessed Mother, my life was spared. As an adult, I have now come into the Catholic Church and am so thankful for the bold pro-life stance of this wonderful institution. My mission, now, is to quietly pray for those who might be inclined to make the horrible decision to end the life of a child. May God help us to cherish life as He does. Respectfully, - Joy, in Indy
