Dear Br. Jeremiah -
Thank you for your inspiring message. In reading your reflection I could picture you and understand the feelings you were experiencing. I, through the grace of God, have been volunteering at a nursing home near us and I, too, wonder what goes through the minds of these precious people. What you said about looking back with regret for the things we have neglected to do to serve God and the people He has placed in our lives, really struck a cord in me for we too have, in our own family, an aunt and uncle who really need our love and attention as they are beginning to experience a loss of memory - dementia or perhaps the beginnings of alzheimers, and I mentioned to my husband that we should really begin to be more involved with them and help them. I am sure that if we do not do our part to help these very special people in our lives, we too, will very much regret our lack of action. I pray for all of us that we be opened to God's leading and fulfill our Christian call to serve Him in serving others.
God bless you all richly!
