Jesus Loves Me!

One day I was riding the M60 Bus on my way to La Guardia Airport. In New York City riding the bus is always an interesting adventure. This time I was able to eavesdrop on a funny conversation between two grandmothers.

One elderly lady was recounting a conversation she had with her little granddaughter. The little girl was singing her favorite song for her granny, a song which she had recently learned at Bible school. Jesus loves me, this I know, ‘cuz the Bible tells me so! The granny told her granddaughter that she also liked that song. Jesus loves me, this I know…

The little girl reacted with distress, “No Grandma! Jesus loves ME!” As if He can’t love all of us, or His love is diminished when He loves others.

Love is like a flame, when divided it grows more. It is not diminished.
