“Dare to Dream”

I dare to dream

of a world re-created

I hear children laughing

without fear

Gentle streams

refresh my feet

I smell sweet flowers and trees

and breathe pure and refreshing air

I dare to dream:

Everyone is embracing each other

as beloved brothers and sisters

in one family of joy

Smiles beam forth on every face

without exception

All our wounds have healed

for we have forgiven one another

The cruel slavery and death of sin

have long since passed away

Now there only remains

The Divine Marriage Banquet:

The Kingdom of Heaven

Whose lamp is the Eucharistic Lamb

giving life and love to all

O splendid symphony of mercy!

O endless festival of prayer and praise!

Dare to dream of Heaven;

Do whatever it takes to enter therein—

For we have only this brief day to show our love

Until we pass into Eternity…
