What beautiful days, the Feast of All Saints and All Souls. The Saints in Heaven and the Holy Souls in Purgatory remind us of our call to one day be called Home. “Grey” November becomes full of hope and faith and love - of divine and heavenly friendship. Through the Loving Design of our Father God – the Church provides the Divine Harvest that goes before us to feed the Mystical Body of Christ – with a special attention for the Holy Souls as they near their Hope, and ours. This month becomes an invitation to establish a deeper union with God, and simplicity within ourselves and in our lives. Interior and exterior. It becomes a preparation for Advent’s time of Holy Expectation for the birth of our Divine Savior and King. God gives us a call to purity and to prayer. We can’t be pure without prayer and we can’t pray unless we strive for purity in mind and heart and body. “Everyone who has this hope keeps Himself pure as he is pure.” I have heard November referred to before as a natural time of recollection. I pray that we will all be able to use this time that God gives us well and fruitfully. May we all entreat our Blessed Mother for her Maternal Mercy and love in our lives and in our world, entrusting everything to her Divine Son through her loving heart and hands. “O Virgin, defend me, all Pure and Sweet.”
