Of one mind and heart
in charity…
Common life, in prayer and the sharing of the same spirit, should be constant, after the example of the early Church, in which the company of believers were of one heart and soul. It should be nourished by the teaching of the Gospel and by the sacred Liturgy, especially by the Eucharist. Religious, as members of Christ, should live together as brothers and should give pride of place to one another in esteem, carrying one another's burdens. A community gathered together as a true family in the Lord's name enjoys his presence through the love of God which is poured into their hearts by the Holy Spirit. For love sums up the law and is what makes us perfect; by it we know that we have crossed over from death to life. Indeed, the unity of the brethren is a symbol of the coming of Christ and is a source of great apostolic power.
