The Poco a Poco Podcast

Join Fr. Innocent, Fr. Angelus and Fr. Mark-Mary, members of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, for their weekly podcast. The Poco a Poco Podcast offers "Practical Spirituality." The friars break open the Gospel in light of their years of prayer, communal life, and work with the poor.

The Poco A Poco Podcast is a source of rest, encouragement, refreshment, and renewal for all pilgrims helping them to discern and make the next best step. Poco a Poco, little by little, step by step we're making our pilgrimage to the Father's house.

It's possible that a lot of us are so swept up in just trying to live life, that we don't have the space to learn how to live.

In a lot of ways it makes sense. If you're in the pool just trying not to drown, it's going to be hard to practice your b
Walking around as friars, we often have people stop us and begin to share. Sometimes they share deeply, sometimes they just want an audience for their hot takes and solutions to the world's problems.

I remember keenly walking with a friar in Guatem
Hi neighbor. 👋👋
"You breathed your fragrance on me; I drew in breath and now I pant for you. I have tasted you, now I hunger and thirst for more. You touched me, and I burned for your peace."
-St. Augustine
“In difficult moments, I will fix my gaze upon the silent Heart of Jesus stretched on the Cross, and from the exploding flames of His merciful Heart, will flow down upon me power and strength to keep fighting.”

– St. Faustina
"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner."

Lord, may your merciful love sustain us this week.

Lead us not into temptation.
Give us the grace of fidelity and confidence.
Fill our hearts with patience and mercy.
Living our best (Lord's Day) Life.
Pretty accurate depiction of our fraternal life.

Someone giving directions. 👉
Someone looking confused. 🤔
Someone randomly clapping. 👏
Someone being goofy. 🤪
Someone smiling at something else. 🙃

But all one in Christ Jesus.
A back to school reminder:

"The cross is the school of love."

 – St. Maximilian Kolbe
